We love making these tiny books. They measure 65 by 40 mm, but every element is made by hand. The block of the book is made from a good quality laid paper, which is cut and folded into quires and then sewn together using Irish linen thread to make 28 mini pages. We cut the boards and cover the books in a combination of library buckram and decorated paper. In this case the paper is a hand blocked Italian paper made in Florence, which has been further embellished with 22 carat Gold leaf. They are wonderful on their own and you could write on them, but many of our customers like to hang them on the Christmas Tree and they make a fine Christmas decorations.
